Our Quals
Mr. Williams is a Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (“CBLP”). His firm provides sustainable landscapes consulting services in Baltimore City and surrounding counties.
Back in 2017 Mr. Williams conceived of a pollinator micro-habitat and outdoor classroom for a neglected site on the Mount Royal Elementary/Middle School campus in Mid-town Baltimore. Williams drew into project collaboration the President of the Parent-Teacher Organization. Partners found for a variety of major and supporting roles though the design, funding and construction stages, included: (a) Mahan Rykiel landscape architects for a concept design and a planting plan; (b) Ladew Topiary Gardens for on-site instruction–both at Mount Royal and at its Gardens in Monkton–native plant selection, acquisition assistance and planting; and, (c) the Ceramics Department of the Maryland Institute College of Art for instructing elementary grade Mt. Royal students on the design and firing of stepping stones for the school garden/outdoor classroom.
This project tipped the scales for Mr. Williams from green building advisory/LEED certification consulting services to work in land conservation, renovation and clean water through CBLP certification and comprehensive Best Management Practices.
In May, 2020, Williams was invited to join the “Reimagine Middle Branch” Public Planning Advisory Committee as a member. The committee has been convening quarterly to advise Baltimore City officials and its 3rd-party design consultant team on a master plan for the South Baltimore park that includes 11 miles of shoreline along the Patapsco River.
In late September, 2021, Williams was selected from a pool of over 150 applicants to serve on the Baltimore City Climate Action Plan Advisory Council over the course of an 18-month planning period to update the City’s 2012 Climate Action Plan.
Mr. Williams is a certified Baltimore TreeKeeper/Pruner acting as a sub-licensee of the Baltimore City Arborist.
Prior Experience: Mr. Williams has a number of years of experience in green building consulting, real estate planning, project feasibility, finance, life-cycle cost analysis, deal closing, and distressed commercial property turn-around/disposition.
